  1. Nice, Jamie. This is very relevant to me. My entire summer is one large writing “to do” item – which is, in a way, what I want, as I strive to become more productive, more professional, more accountable to myself. But it is so important that this not take the magic away, and the joy – the things that made us want to do this seriously to begin with.

    1. Thanks, Leonard. For years and years, I was obsessed with To Do lists and increasing my productivity. I still am–it’s a hard habit to break! But now I figure my quality of life should at least be a little bit about having fun and doing things I want to do, right? Thankfully, it worked for me to step back a bit from the self-pressure I created about my writing goals to make writing fun again.
